Check out the acts who will be rocking the stage at the 2018 Great Ouseburn Beer Festival.

No Direction – Friday from 6.30pm

‘No Direction’ are a popular covers band based in Teesside and North Yorkshire.
They have a wide-ranging catalogue of songs; there is guaranteed to be something for every taste and to get you stomping.
They are veterans of the beer festival circuit with two highly successful appearances at the Great Ouseburn Beer Festival and were headliners at the inaugural Danby Wiske Beer Festival.

Formed following a Mojito-fuelled challenge in 2012, the band have steadily developed under the firm music leadership of David ‘The Sticks’ Mack (drums). Before 2012, Rupert Dunn (guitar) and Andy Gibson (bass) had never played anything more than rugby, but have not looked back since taking on the musical adventure.
Scott Grainger (vocals) and Andy Hynd (guitar) joined the band at New Year 2013. Damian Neilson (keyboard) then joined in January 2016, resulting in the ‘No Direction’ that you see today.
‘No Direction’ are an eclectic mix of pilots, a surgeon , a n architect, a consultant and a nuclear scientist – you work out who’s who…
Well received shows at East Harlsey, Newby Hall and Whitby have seen the band raised over £3,000 for Candlelighters, a cause close to their hearts.

Simon Turner – Saturday from 2.30pm

Let your hair down and get those dancing shoes on! Simon Turner will be performing a wide variety of well-known hits from the likes of Michael Bublé, Frank Sinatra and Van Morrison, to Take That, Pharrell Williams and Coldplay! Guaranteed to have you singing along and dancing the night away!

Crisis Brewing – Saturday from 5.30pm

The perfectly named covers band are based in Ripon and delighted to be part of the Great Ouseburn Beer Festival 2018. Enjoying their fourth year together the bands’ emphasis is on good solid music to be enjoyed by all. Influences include ‘Tom Petty’, ‘Roachford’, ‘Stereophonics’, ‘Paul Weller’, ‘Robert Cray’ to ‘The Killers’ and many more. Originally a trio of Andy Hynd (Guitar), Craig Lee (Drums) – yes that’s him – of Rudgate Brewery fame – and Mackenzie Dallas (Bass/vocals) the addition of Paul Carter (keyboards) and ‘Big Bob’ Simpson as front-man rounded off this tight five piece that have gigged from Guisborough down to ‘Tockwith Beer Festival’ and beyond. Mid-Life is no ‘Crisis’ just a great excuse – good and bad – while our drummer proves we really can organise ‘a “party” in a Brewery’. Have a great time and enjoy the music – we do.

The Sidewinders – Saturday from 8.30pm

Great local covers band playing a range of rock, pop and rock n roll’.
